This is my daughter
She was a flower girl at her uncle's wedding
Betsy Clark
Do you remember Betsy Clark?
I was going through old things of mine and found a few pictures and stickers that she made. I read somewhere that she died a young age. She worked for Halmark Greeting cards at a young age also. I never knew she was a young girl drawing these beautiful drawings. I wish i would have collected more. I thought they were beautiful and she was a very talented artist . I included coloring book type pictures i had copied off of someones book that they had from her when i was 12 years old. They were faded and slightly yellowed, so i worked on them with my computer programs. After I scanned the pictures to my computer,I had to use a couple of programs to get the pencil drawings darker and erase the age marks on the paper to make it look more coloring book like to color. I don't know if it is true but I heard that Precious Momments figurines was designed in a tribute to her after she died. They sure did look like her design. I read that somewhere and that really touched me why she seemed to disapper at the time precious moments came out. I thought she was an older person when I was in grade school and it really touched me to read on the internet that she was only nine or ten. When I was in grade school we were all copying her drawings and using colored pencils to color them. Her drawings were very popular to us in the 70's I was looking on the internet and I couldn't find (very little) information on her and her drawings. That sort of surprised me. Especially when her drawings were so beautiful. Well here is some of the pictures I have and hope you enjoy.
